Welcome to the Westside Photography Club website. We are a group of photography enthusiasts who welcome new members, from raw beginners to old hands, to share in our passion for the making of photographic images. Age is no restriction. We count students, parents, the working and the retired among our group. Yes, that means everyone is welcome.

Our club is a non-discriminatory and non-profit organisation, formed to share amongst its members, the knowledge, skills and creativity in the art of photography. It provides the venue and a friendly environment for its members to learn or enhance their skills in the taking and processing of photographic images.

Originally created to meet the needs of photographers in the western suburbs region, the Club now has members from many areas around Perth. If you want to meet a cheerful bunch of like minded people willing to embrace visitors into the group, come and check us out.

We meet once a month for either our competition night or to enjoy a varied and stimulating program of guest speakers offering practical and innovative ideas related to photography.

Our competitions cover both print and digital presentation.

The club organises occasional weekend outings, usually on a Sunday, which seek to combine photographic opportunities and the social side of the club. Quite often one of the more experienced members will provide tips and methodology to improve results.

A committee comprising the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and elected committee members runs the club. The election for office bearers is held at the Annual General Meeting around October each year.

We are affiliated with WAPF, the West Australian Photographic Federation Inc. Through this organisation, there are a multitude of educational courses and weekend excursions on offer throughout the year.

If you’re looking for a way to improve your photography, come to the Westside Photography Club. All you need is a digital camera and a desire to learn and share.
